Church 1228 is a Bible-based, family-oriented Christian church located in Aubrey, Texas, gathering every Wednesday at 6:30 PM at Oak + Ivy (11858 FM-428, Aubrey, TX 76227). We are a church plant rooted in Hebrews 12:28 — the promise that God's people are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken.
Founded by Pastor Kennith Allen Thomas and Josilyne Thomas, Church 1228 was born out of real-life faith tested through fire. During a season when their son Kristian battled leukemia, the Thomas family discovered what it truly means to hold onto God when everything around you is uncertain. Through that season of shaking, the word "unshakeable" became more than inspiration — it became a calling.
The name 1228 points directly to Hebrews 12, verse 28. It is not a brand. It is a declaration: we are not building around a number; we are building around an unshakeable Kingdom. Every sermon preached, every prayer offered, and every family welcomed through our doors is a brick in a house that cannot fall.
Church 1228 exists to build people who cannot be shaken. We accomplish that mission through three core commitments: helping people Hear the Word of God with open hearts, Live the Word with daily obedience, and Carry the Word into their homes, workplaces, communities, and generations.
